Largest Sailboats

Boats are an incredible feat of engineering and design. Especially, the world's largest sailing boats take this to a whole new level. These boats are often owned by the wealthiest individuals in the world, and their impressive size and beauty are a testament to the luxurious lifestyles that their owners lead.

Sailing Yacht A

The world's largest sailing boat is the Sailing Yacht A, which measures an incredible 142 meters in length. It was built by Nobiskrug in Germany and designed by Philippe Starck, and it features a futuristic and minimalist design that sets it apart from other yachts. Yacht A owns a hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system and can reach a top speed of 21 knots.

This luxury yacht has a state-of-the-art sailing rig with three masts that tower above the yacht, supporting a total sail area of 12,600 square feet. The yacht can accommodate up to 20 guests in 10 cabins, including a spacious master suite that spans two levels.

The Black Pearl

The Black Pearl is another remarkable sailing boat, measuring 106 meters in length and featuring a DynaRig system. It was built by Oceanco in the Netherlands and features a stunning black hull that makes it instantly recognizable on the water. The Black Pearl uses a combination of diesel and electric motors and can reach a top speed of 30 knots.

Another of the most iconic yacht is Eos, which measures 93 meters in length and was built by Lürssen Yachts. Eos has a total sail area of 3,600 square meters. This allows it to reach speeds of up to 22 knots under sail, making it one of the fastest sailing yachts in the world.

Maltese Falcon

Maltese Falcon, built by Perini Navi in 2006, is equally impressive in terms of size and technology. The yacht measures 88 meters in length and features a revolutionary rig with three rotating masts that can be controlled by a single crew member using a computer system. The sail area is over 2,400 square meters, allowing Maltese Falcon to reach impressive speeds under sail.

Like EOS, Maltese Falcon offers its guests a range of luxurious amenities, including a large sundeck with a Jacuzzi, a swimming pool, and a range of water toys.

Aquijo is another yacht that deserves mention. This sailing yacht measures 86 meters in length and was a final product of a joint venture between Oceanco and Vitters Shipyard. Aquijo features a large flybridge and impressive sail handling system. It can reach a top speed of 17 knots under sail power.

Aquijo is one of the largest and most advanced sailing yachts in the world, and it offers its guests the ultimate in luxury and comfort. Aquijo has a displacement of 1,295 tons and can accommodate up to 12 guests in seven luxurious cabins.

The yacht features a state-of-the-art sailing rig with two masts. Aquijo has participated in a number of prestigious sailing events, including the St. Barth's Bucket and the Superyacht Cup.

In 2004, Huisman built a beautiful 90 meter yacht called Athena in the Netherlands. This yacht features a classic design that pays homage to the traditional sailing yachts of the early 20th century. Athena has a steel hull and an aluminum superstructure.

This yacht is one of the largest sailing yachts of its kind in the world. Athena has a displacement of 1,100 tons and can accommodate up to ten guests in five luxurious cabins.

Similar to the Aqujjo, Athena has a large sundeck with ample seating and lounging areas, as well as a Jacuzzi for relaxation. There is also a fully equipped gym on board, as well as a range of water toys for guests to enjoy.

One of the most impressive features of Athena is its sailing capabilities. The yacht features a traditional sailing rig with three masts. Athena has participated in a number of prestigious sailing events, including the St. Barth's Bucket and the Superyacht Cup.

These sailing boats represent the pinnacle of luxury and design, and they are a testament to the incredible engineering and design capabilities of modern yacht builders.
